🔴 BLACKWOOD MINERS INSTITUTE DECISION DELAYED

I welcome the announcement from Caerphilly County Borough Council that no decision will be made on the future of the Blackwood Miners Institute until the local authority has sought out legal advice.

I have recently met with the Arts Council of Wales and the Coalfields Regeneration Trust to discuss the Blackwood Miners’ Institute.

I am in no doubt that the Blackwood Miners’ Institute must remain open and it is the duty of the local authority as custodians of this magnificent facility to ensure its future.
